Never reject yourself before others reject you.

“I will never apply for that job in that super awesome company because I know I don’t have the qualifications.”

“I don’t think I will apply to that top school because I am just not smart enough.”

“I don’t know. I don’t think I will register for that competition. I don’t think they’ll accept my request. It’s only for top runners you know. ”

This is what we call self-rejection. First of all, what makes you so sure that they will not accept you. For every confident step, you increase the possibility of you getting hired, enrolled and accepted.

By taking the brave action to actually try, apply or request for something grand, you have earned yourself o till 100% possibility of getting the job, accepted into the school or approved to join the competition. Sure, they might reject you but still, you can’t deny that there might be a 10% of chance or 35% of chance or even 65% of chance that you’ll get the spot. You never know unless you try.

But if you reject yourself beforehand and refuse to take any action, there’s only 1 possibility for you and it is for sure: 0%.
